Reverend Jack Bridges
Founder
June 4, 1926 -June 23, 2005

CMC was founded by Rev. Jack Bridges, Pastor Emeritus of the Central Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas, which he pastored for 19 years. He also served for 14 years as the pastor of the Freeway Baptist Church which he organized in 1950. From 1964 until the time of his home-going in June of 2005 Bro. Bridges was involved in many mission projects and organizations.


Reverend Larry Maddox

Larry Maddox was saved on November 16, 1969 and surrendered to full-time ministry in 1970. He earned his Doctorate in Ministry and Philosophy from Louisiana Baptist University.

He is the Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church in Houston, Texas where he has served for 52 years after joining the staff in 1972. In October of 1975, he was called by the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Phoenix, Arizona, a mission outreach of Central Baptist Church. He served there for short time, and then came back to Central in 1977 as Co-Pastor. Soon afterwards Central called him as Pastor and he continues to serve as Senior Pastor.

In 2005, Dr. Maddox became the president of Central Missionary Clearinghouse. He had served on the Board of Directors for several years under the leadership of Dr. Jack Bridges. We give God all the praise for His continued blessings upon Central Missionary Clearinghouse. Dr. Maddox has had the privilege of visiting many of our missionaries on the field. He has a real heart for missionaries and pastors.

He and his son, Roy, who serves as his Co-Pastor, minister to the Central Baptist Church in West Houston. Under the leadership of Dr. Maddox, Central Baptist Church has become known as a church with a heart for missions.

Reverend Rick Brann
Director

Pastor Rick Brann was saved in 1976 and began his service to the Lord as a staff member at Baptist Temple in 1979. Pastor Brann received his Bachelors Degree from Faith Baptist College in Kentucky and went on to earn his Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Peniel Baptist Seminary in Massillon, Ohio.

Prior to surrendering to full time service, Pastor Brann served in the United States Air Force from 1964-1968 where he was an Airborne Morse Intercept Operator. During his time of service, he was stationed in Turkey, Viet-Nam and Texas. After leaving the Air Force, Pastor Brann entered into Law Enforcement as a State Trooper in Ohio in 1969, and later served as a Police Office in Austin and San Angelo, Texas. During his first Pastorate in Brady, Texas, he continued his work as a Criminal Investigator for the Sheriff's Department for 7 years. He is currently a retired Lieutenant with the Leander Police Department in Leander Texas.

Pastor Brann married Peggy Carter Brann in October of 1967. They have four sons, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren that they enjoy very much. Pastor Brann has been serving full time as Pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Cedar Park, Texas since 1999. They have watched this ministry grow from an attendance of 60 to a faithful congregation of 550. Pastor Brann continues to be very active in the Law Enforcement community as well, serving as Police Chaplain for several departments and speaking at Law Enforcement Appreciation Days in churches around the country. Pastor Brann has also developed a Church Security program using his experience as an officer and investigator, along with his self defense training and 2nd Degree Black Belt.

Reverend Roy Maddox

Roy joined the staff of Central Baptist Church on September 1, 1995, serving as the Senior Citizens Director.

He and his wife, Shirley, were married on October 14, 1995, and they have two daughters, Victoria and Valerie, and an adopted son, John, from the Philippines. His wife grew up on the mission field in Uruguay where her are parents are still working and building churches.

Roy earned his Masters in Ministry from Louisiana Baptist University, and was called to serve with his father as the Co-Pastor of Central Baptist Church in March of 2002. He was ordained by Central Baptist on May 5, 2002.

Roy's desire is to see Central Baptist Church continue to reach and serve this community as we endeavor to fulfill the Great Commission. He has a passion and love for missions and missionaries and considers it a great honor to be on the Board of Directors of Central Missionary Clearinghouse.
